A typical 40-card Sealed deck has roughly 17 lands and 23 non-land spells. You want a good curve (more 2-3 mana cards, fewer 5+ mana bombs), enough creatures to pressure opponents, and a mix of interaction and card advantage.
Choose Your College
Strixhaven's five colleges are its defining feature. Each represents a two-color pair with a distinct strategy. For Sealed, you'll typically want to focus on one or two colleges based on what you open.
Silverquill (White/Black)
Strategy: Control, Aura synergies, goad effects. Look for cheap creatures with evasion and tricks that tap opponents' creatures.
Play if you open: Multiple white removal spells, black card draw, or an Aura-themed commander card.
Prismari (Blue/Red)
Strategy: Spell-heavy deck with Elemental token generation. Pivots between tempo plays and big finishers.

Magecraft
Triggers whenever you cast or copy an instant or sorcery. Returning from the original Strixhaven. If you have Magecraft creatures, don't be afraid to run more noncreature spells than usual.
Thesis
A new mechanic on powerful spells that scale based on how many instants and sorceries you've cast this game. Early-game Thesis cards are weaker than late-game ones — save your mana for bigger Thesis payoffs if you can.
Dean Cycle (MDFCs)
Ten Modal Double-Faced Cards featuring the Deans of each college. Each side is playable as a creature OR a spell effect. In Sealed, these are always playable — first-pick them over all but the strongest rares.
Seminar
New keyword that rewards you for controlling multiple creatures that share a type. Triggers typically draw cards or create tokens. Works best in tribal-leaning decks.
